This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow journal enthusiasts and share your passion for creativity and self-expression.
Whether you're a seasoned journaler or just starting out, this meetup is open to everyone. Bring your favorite journals, pens, and supplies to exchange ideas, tips, and tricks. Discover new techniques, get inspired by others, and make lasting connections within the journaling community. We will have a community destash that you can take items from or add items to, so if you have stationery items to destash, bring them along!
About Houston Journal Society:
Founded in January 2023, the Houston Journal Society began as a small group of passionate enthusiasts who shared a love for journaling, stationery, pens, and inks. Unable to find a community that truly reflected our interests, we decided to create our ownโand it quickly blossomed. Today, our growing Discord community has over 350 members, and our monthly meetups continue to expand. Whether you're a seasoned journaler or just curious about getting started, we warmly welcome everyone to join us. This meetup is open to anyone, whether you are a current member, future member, curious about the club, joining us from out-of-town, or just want to wind down for the night with some journal time. hi my name is aarti & im the creator of leelajournals! for as long as i can remember iโve loved art & hoarded stationery. i find refuge from lifeโs burdens in the creative. in 2020 i was laid off from my corporate design job. i took this as a sign from the universe communicating w me that itโs time to put my everything into my craft. & thatโs exactly what i did. iโm a stationery designer who specializes in notebooks & washi (& other things). i find inspiration in fairytales, whimsical design, childlike nostalgia, & girlhood. my work is a physical manifestation of my inner world.
i make pretty stationery that serves one purpose: to help you feel inspired to create (again). if i bring even one person joy from creating then my job is done! i hope youโll come check out my booth ๐ this is my first meet-&-greet, iโm nervous bc i have terrible social anxiety ๐ (this year iโm trying to get out of my comfort zone hehe) but really, iโm excited too bc i canโt wait to meet the people whoโve supported me all these years!! ๐โจ
